Angelus East of McHenry is a 13 acre parcel located on the north side of Charles-Miller Road, approximately ΒΌ-mile east of Green Street in the City of McHenry. This project included the construction of a 48,900 SF senior housing building and a 19,750 SF memory care building, with the associated parking and detention facilities. The development included preservation of existing trees along the west and north property lines to provide a buffer from the fen to the north.

The North Nippersink Trail sits on approximately 392.51 acres of McHenry County Conservation District property along Keystone Road near the Illinois-Wisconsin border. When completed, this 1.7 mile trail will connect the McHenry County Conservation District's Hebron Trail System with their Prairie Trail North system. The proposed trail system will be crossing the Nippersink Creek with a 110-foot span bridge. Our services for this project included coordinating the permit process with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the IDNR-OWR and the McHenry County Stormwater Review Department for the floodplain and wetland impacts. The site engineering also included the design of a parking lot and a rain garden to provide water quality treatment and promote infiltration for the impervious area.

The site engineering for the Pleasant Valley Conservation Area included the layout of 3,600 linear feet of roadway, three parking lots and a picnic shelter. In addition, our office coordinated the floodplain permitting for a stream crossing and modification required for the installation of a horse trail within the site. Our office also was responsible for the site and septic plan design for the onsite maintenance building located off Pleasant Valley Road.

The Church of Holy Apostles is a 47 acre parcel located at the southeast corner of Bull Valley Road and Crystal Lake Road in the City of McHenry. This project included the construction of a 25,900 SF building addition and the associated parking and detention facilities. The development incorporated both existing site and proposed adjacent development information into the design of the detention facilities.

The Goddard School for Early Childhood Development is a 1.1 acre parcel located on the north side of Princeton Lane, just east of Lakewood Road in the Village of Lake in the Hills. It is located on Lot 2 of the Lakewood Pointe subdivision. This project included the construction of an 8,000 SF building, with the associated parking and drainage facilities. The existing topography of the site was fairly flat, which created a challenge in the design of the stormwater management system for the development.
